Having been a client of Pilz safety equipment, ELiTE saw considerable potential for Pilz’s PSS (Programmable Safety System), which moved the target market beyond specialist machine applications.
Prior to the introduction of Making Paper Safely and the IEC61508 legislation, Pilz recognised the reputation ELiTE had established for safety systems expertise through its safety-related work for a range of clients. After an evaluation of several Integrators in Scotland, Pilz invited ELiTE to become an integrator, and the two companies identified interests in common relevant to Making Paper Safely and various other safety initiatives. The partnership with Pilz strengthened ELiTE’s solutions portfolio and its position as a safety systems specialist.
